After School

All girls deserve a Strong, Smart, and Bold community beyond school where they find their voices, experience joy and connection, express themselves authentically, accomplish their goals, and feel cherished.

Center Programming at Colfax and Clayton Campus

We provide comprehensive learning experiences beyond school for girls to develop social and emotional health, practice leadership, and explore movement, wellness, STEM, and life skills. We foster an inclusive and positive sisterhood where girls build meaningful relationships. All girls leave with a strong sense of self, new skills, and meaningful relationships. They are bolder, their voices are louder, their impact is greater, and their community is bigger.

If you are a community partner or organization that would like to partner with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver during our After School Program, please contact Blair Zaid at bzaid@gidenver.org. Program fees for all of our programs are offered on a sliding scale based on your household income. We are proud to share that no girl is ever turned away due to inability to pay thanks to the support of our generous donors.

Our programs support the whole girl, meaning your girl will not only learn how to keep her body and mind healthy, but also learn STEM concepts, leadership skills, financial literacy, and so much more!

Our afterschool program runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Drop off is from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. When girls arrive, they will have time to eat supper (provided by GIMD), enjoy free time, and then will go to their classes to learn about that day’s topic. Parent pick up is from 6pm to 6:30pm.

Transportation is provided for select schools. We may be able to add your child’s school to our pick up route if there are at least four other participants interested and it is within a reasonable distance. Please email us for more information.

The current list of schools we pick up from is not yet available. Email Destinee Perkins at dperkins@gidenver.org for more information or call us at (303) 893-4363 x 105.
