All girls deserve to know how change happens and to have the ability to advocate for themselves.
Our Program
It is critical for girls to develop advocacy skills so they can effectively champion their rights, influence positive change, and navigate the challenges they may face. At Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, we believe that every girl has the potential to be a leader who can shape her community and the world.
Our three-year Leadership Out Loud program creates a nurturing and inspiring environment where you will develop your leadership skills and exercise using your voice. Through internships, experiential learning, mentorship, and real-world applications, we provide you with the tools and opportunities to understand leadership, build confidence, and take initiative. All Leadership Out Loud participants leave with enhanced self-awareness, a stronger sense of agency, and the skills and network of support needed to advocate for themselves and others.
In Leadership Out Loud you will have the opportunity to:
-Learn about leadership and advocacy at a summer camp experience
-Practice what you learned at a paid internship with advocacy pr
-Apply your skills during the school year in monthly sessions to develop an advocacy campaign
-Visit leaders on a trip to Washington, D.C.
Join Leadership Out Loud
All Girls Inc. of Metro Denver programming provides a safe and fun, pro-girl environment with trained youth development professionals for low to no cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
Girls going into 9th and 10th grade are eligible to apply to participate in Leadership Out Loud.
Girls must apply to be a part of Leadership Out Loud. You can find the application here. Applications open each fall.
Program fees for all of our programs are offered on a sliding scale based on your household income. We are proud to share that no girl is ever turned away due to inability to pay thanks to the support of our generous donors and funders.
Leadership Out Loud takes place both during the summer and school year. During the summer, Leadership Out Loud summer camp meets in June (Summer 2025 dates TBD). During the school year, Leadership Out Loud meets monthly on the one Saturday per month.
Transportation to and from summer camp and monthly Saturday sessions is not provided, however, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver is committed to making our programs accessible. If transportation is an issue, please email us and we can work together to get you here.
