Who is eligible?
Girls Inc. members who:
Are current 10th, 11th, 12th grade or college students who have graduated from Girls Inc. programs within the last 8 years
Have a 2.0 or higher Grade Point Average (GPA)
Are involved in Girls Inc. and in their community
What scholarships are available?
Helen McLoraine Teen Leadership Scholarship – $5,000, for 10th graders
Helen McLoraine Strong, Smart and Bold Scholarship – $10,000 for 11th or 12th graders
Helen McLoraine Collegiate Scholarship – $10,000, for college students
Dyan Foss STEM Scholarship – $5,000, for 10th, 1tth, or 12th graders who have completed 100 hours of Girls Inc. STEM programs and want to study a STEM field in college
High Tech High Heels STEM Scholarship – $5,000 for 12th graders who want to study a STEM field in college
LaRey Peterson Scholarship – $5,000 for 11th or 12th graders who will be first-generation college students
Kena Contreras Memorial Scholarship – $5,000 for 12th graders
Tiffany K. Payne and Matt Mann Community College Scholarship – $5,000, for 12th graders who are first-generation college students and will be attending a Colorado Community College in fall of 2024
What will I need to apply?
A cover page with basic information about yourself
An essay (3 pages maximum for high school students, 4 paged maximum for college students)
Your Girls Inc. program participation history
A summary of your community and leadership involvement
Two letters of recommendation from adults who know you well and are NOT family members or Girls Inc. staff
An official transcript
How do you apply?
Complete the online application OR paper application and submit it before 5pm on Friday, January 19th, 2024!
Participate in an interview on February 24, 2024
