Eureka!

All girls have the right to access quality STEM education, and to explore and excel in STEM fields.

At Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, we believe providing girls and gender expansive youth with the knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering, and math is not only a matter of equity but also crucial for driving innovation and progress.

How Eureka! Works

Our Eureka! STEM program provides a rigorous and supportive environment where girls can explore and excel in STEM. Through hands-on learning, real-world applications, and immersive experiences, we equip girls with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in STEM. Like all of our programs, Eureka supports the development of the whole girl combining STEM education with personal development, physical and mental health education, leadership, and college and career readiness, ensuring every girl receives a holistic and empowering experience. All girls leave the Eureka! program with strong STEM skills, a network of peers and mentors, and a clear vision for their academic and career futures.

The Eureka! program is an intensive, five-year STEM based program designed for girls ages 12-18. The program includes:

  • Two, 4- week summer programs on a college campus after 7th and 8th grade, where girls engage in hands-on STEM activities and college life.
  • Two paid summer internships after 9th and 10th grade, providing real-world STEM work experience.
  • An opportunity to join their class on an out-of-state senior trip.
  • Monthly Teen-Saturday activities during the school year to reinforce learning and build community.
  • Eligibility to apply for college scholarships through Girls Inc. of Metro Denver and the national Girls Inc. organization.
