As we reach the end of the year, I’ve found myself reflecting on my daughters, Liana and Lyndi, and the incredible opportunities they’ve had through Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. This past year hasn’t been easy for families. Everything is more expensive, time feels tighter than ever, and it can be overwhelming to make sure our children have the support, guidance, and experiences they deserve. But Girls Inc. of Metro Denver has been a steady light for us by filling the gaps, opening doors, and reminding my kids that their futures are full of possibility. 

Liana and Lyndi have both participated in Eureka! STEM programming, which included summer camps, internships, and real hands-on career experiences. Lyndi found her voice and her confidence through Girls Inc. of Metro Denver’s programs that challenged her, encouraged her, and surrounded her with people who believed in her. Lyndi was also a Girls Inc. scholarship winner in 2024, which has helped her as she pursues a degree at MSU Denver with a future career in Criminal Justice and being a drone pilot.   

This year also gave me a moment I’ll never forget. I had the honor of cheering on my younger daughter, Liana, as she stood on stage at the Girls Inc. National Luncheon, sharing her story with hundreds of people from across the country. She lived out her dream on stage, sharing her aspiration to one day go into theater. I have no doubt that she will achieve her dreams through her drive and because of mentorship at Girls Inc. I watched Liana shine with a pride that I can’t begin to put into words. I share that moment now because it reminds me just how life-changing this organization is not just for our girls, but also for the families who love them. 

To every donor, partner, and supporter of Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, thank you. You have helped lift up my daughters and so many others. You make these programs, career exploration opportunities, internships, safe spaces, and life-shaping experiences possible.  

As we close out the year, I hope you’ll continue to support Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. I know you will be filled with pride watching girls’ achievements the way I am as I witness my own daughters. If you already gave this year, thank you for making these moments possible. Thank you for believing in our girls.
